LEED AP ID+C Reference Guide

The free downloadable LEED AP ID+C Candidate will tell you about the two parts of the exams which are LEED GA and ID+C Specialty Exam.

Exam Part 1: LEED® Green Associate™ Exam This exam is designed to test the general knowledge of green building practices and how to support other professionals working on LEED projects.

Exam Part 2: LEED AP® ID+C Specialty Exam This exam is designed to test the knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, to support and encourage integrated design, and to streamline the application and certification process. You should also be familiar with the content of the U.S. Green Building Council®’s Website, usgbc.org, and GBCI’s website, gbci.org, including but not limited to LEED Project Registration, LEED Certification content, and the purpose of LEED Online. The U.S. Green Building Council®’s website, usgbc.org/LEED, also has free access to LEED® Rating Systems, LEED Reference guide Introductions, and Checklists beyond those listed above.

FREE LEED AP ID+C RATING SYSTEM

The LEED AP ID+C Rating System document is a detailed view of the requirements for LEED ID+C certification. Every prerequisite and credit is described, with the intent and documentation requirements. This free document is not as comprehensive as the LEED Reference Guide, which also covers implementation guidance examples, and timelines. The LEED ID+C Rating System is the right document to study prerequisite and credit thresholds.

LEED AP IDC-Rating

CREDENTIAL MAINTENANCE PROGRAM (CMP)

After you pass the LEED AP ID+C examination, you will need to to maintain the credential over your entire career. USGBC requires ongoing continuing education for each LEED AP professional including LEED ID+C. This handbook outlines the requirements which has to be reported every 2 years.

For LEED AP ID+C professionals, you must earn 30 hours of continuing education during each 2-year cycle. Of the 30 total hours that you have earned as part of credential maintenance program, at least 6 must be LEED AP ID+C specific hours.
